I grew up in an artist and collector's home in Los Angeles, I was always surrounded by eclectic objects and artifacts. My father is a painter, sculptor, and writer and my mother, Rona Mink, worked in the entertainment industry and would sell antiques at the Melrose Trading Post on the weekends. Though my mother is no longer here in the physical sense, her felt-presence and has been my inspiration as I’ve created things over the years. My work is a reflection of my surroundings since I am deeply influenced by my upbringing, sculpture, architecture, photography, and music. My medium is a mixture of lost-wax carving, metalsmithing, and repurposing of old objects. My pieces are wearable sculptures that I imagine taking on a new life once they are in the possession of someone new.
